O Fantasma da Opera

Este belíssimo musical e filme nos trás vasto material para uma análise psicanalítica. Os personagens são riquíssimos e suas relações complexas e nem sempre obvias. É um filme para se ver muitas vezes e que desperta muitas reflexões.

Penso no fantasma como alguém com dificuldades relacionadas ao narcisismo. A forma como ele idealiza a si mesmo e a Christine, a maneira como usa Christine como um prolongamento seu, lhe negando uma diferenciação e vida própria, a intolerância as diferenças e as frustrações, o predomínio da inveja destrutiva, essas características todas estão presentes e são bem evidentes no filme.
A ferida que trás em seu rosto é algo concreto, real e externo. Mas nem sempre precisa ser assim. Muitas pessoas com personalidade narcísica sofreram danos emocionais, a começar por uma possível rejeição sentida pelos objetos primeiros de amor (mãe e pai). Essa rejeição deixa uma marca afetiva e proporciona que a pessoa desenvolva uma capa protetora do eu. Essa “capa” de auto-suficiência e grandiosidade muitas vezes esconde sentimentos de desvalia, depressão, ódio, ressentimento. O fantasma se mostra grandioso, imbatível, melhor do que todos. Realmente é muito talentoso e se pudesse ver isso com mais humildade provavelmente não se sentiria tão devastado pelo rosto desfigurado. Ele procura em Christine uma sombra, alguém belo e bom para ser o que ele não pode ser. Usa Christine como se fosse um duplo, seu prolongamento. Desta forma não lhe garante vida própria, mente própria e a torna prisioneira de seus próprios desejos e necessidades. O fantasma precisa desesperadamente de alguém que o veja com olhos de amor e que o aceite em sua monstruosidade. la. Neste momento ele é capaz de realmente amá-la, um amor mais amadurecido.
No inicio do filme o fantasma ama como uma criança, que ama mais pela necessidade de sobrevivência do que por consideração e admiração pelo objeto. Já no fim do filme seu drama interno se modifica e ele pode mostrar um outro tipo de amor a Christine.
A musica é sedutora, envolvente, penetra nos ouvidos e nos sentidos. Assim como as pulsões, tão viscerais, tão humanas. O fantasma é pulsional, ama, odeia, tem ciúmes, inveja, ou seja, ele tem todas as paixões, e a maioria delas sem nenhuma transformação. Daí penso que o filme é tão tocante. Fala das paixões humanas, daquilo que temos de mais profundo e verdadeiro.
A psicanálise lida com essas paixões. Na verdade, são elas que entram em nossos consultórios, uma vez que o que é transformado, adequado, geralmente fica do lado de fora, no social, no familiar...
Penso também que o fantasma pode ser entendido como uma parte da mente de qualquer pessoa. Aquela parte mais infantil, carente, insegura, que quer o outro só para si... Talvez por esse motivo as pessoas se identifiquem tanto com o fantasma e talvez por isso ele seja o personagem que mais recebe os aplausos da platéia numa encenação musical.
É claro que é tarefa do desenvolvimento humano que possamos conhecer de perto os nossos fantasmas. Numa analise, isso chega a acontecer e aí a verdade é bem clara. O que resta é cuidar desses fantasmas, numa espécie de auto-cura.
Christine é tão carente, tem um vazio imenso que o pai deixou. Deixa-se fisgar pela sedução do fantasma. Ela o coloca no lugar do pai, é o seu tutor, mestre, anjo da musica. Existe uma confusão se aquele personagem é amigo ou não. Se é o pai ou se é um fantasma. Penso que todas essas questões envolvem o desprendimento necessário para elaboração do Édipo. Se consigo deixar o amor paterno como uma lembrança que estrutura meu psiquismo, posso me tornar mulher, investir outros objetos. Senão, fico para sempre menina, e lamentando um vinculo, um anelo que há muito já não existe mais.

Christine tem dificuldades em elaborar o luto pela morte do pai. Tenta negar esta perda quando o substitui pelo fantasma. Mas esse truque não lhe é totalmente inofensivo. Deixa-a presa, num estado de solidão e de meninice eterna.
Este filme nos fala sobre as perdas. A perda de um rosto, do amor de uma mãe, da presença de um pai. A lida com essas perdas é que impulsiona a pessoa para o desenvolvimento e a saúde ou a joga no buraco fundo da depressão. O fantasma nunca aceitou seu rosto deformado, sentia um intenso ódio da vida por isso. Essa indignação lhe custou caro. Encheu seu coração de ódio, inveja, destrutividade, a ponto de quase não conseguir amar. Christine nunca colocou seu pai no passado, tanto que este perambula por sua mente em forma fantasmagórica. Quando consegue se despedir do pai, o deixa como lembrança e pode investir outras pessoas, vivas. Assim sai da solidão, ou melhor, passa das relações com os mortos para as relações interpessoais. Isso é um tremendo salto em sua vida e certamente em sua capacidade de fruí-la. A reflexão se dá quando pensamos o que fazemos com aquilo que se perde, que se acaba... A vida precisa ser sentida de outra maneira então, o que resta é aquilo que pode e deve ser olhado.

Plug in your travel plans, and you will get a list of all the flights that are available. Southwest typically charges more reasonable prices than other airlines, and there are no hidden fees. The price you see is the price you get although tax and the government fee that is attached to all flights does apply. For lower prices than you can probably get anywhere else look at the "web only" fares, but keep in mind that these fares are not refundable.
